What is Peer Group Mentoring?
The WRISE Peer Group Mentoring program offers an opportunity to be both mentee and mentor at the same time. WRISE Peer Groups consist of 6 members and the program is designed such that members all have a chance to learn from each other while walking through our 6-session curriculum together.
Peer Groups also offer a great way to build community in a smaller group setting. Most groups will meet online once per month.
Participation in Peer Group Mentoring requires an active WRISE membership which can take 24 hours or 1 business day to process if joining for the first time or renewing with a new email address.

Who can participate?
All active members of WRISE can participate. You can join or renew your WRISE membership here. WRISE mentorship programs are open to people of all genders and at all professional levels, so long as they are members.
How will this work?
When the sign up form is open, you will be able to sign up through the WRISE Member Center. After the sign up form closes, you will be assigned to a Peer Mentoring Group. Groups will be assigned based on the registration information you provide. Groups will meet six times approximately once per month – choosing dates and times that work best for the group members.
Detailed Session Guides and Information will be provided for the whole group for each session.
How is peer mentorship different from traditional one-on-one mentorship?
Peer mentorship at WRISE is structured in groups of six where all participants are growing and learning together as they work through the session conversation guides provided by WRISE. Traditional one-on-one mentorship is structured as a mentor/mentee relationship with the mentor imparting knowledge, guidance and support to the mentee.
Will there be opportunities for one-on-one mentorship as well?
WRISE’s one-on-one mentorship program is currently being revamped and we expect to relaunch that program in the near future.
Who will I be matched with?
You’ll be matched with other WRISE members holding similar jobs, levels of professional experience, and goals for the program that align with yours.
I missed the sign up, can I still join a group? When will the next cohort open?
Once the sign up form closes, that cohort is set and new participants cannot be added. The sign up form for the first 2026 cohort will open on 1/26/2026 and will close on 2/11/2026 at 11:59pm ET. If you miss the sign up for this cohort, look out for cohort two in the second half of the year and the return of one-on-one mentorship at WRISE.
I’m interested in taking a leadership role, how do I do that within the Peer Mentorship Program?
Each Peer Mentor group will be assigned a Group Leader who helps ensure meetings are scheduled, participants have access to the conversation guide, each session has a facilitator from the group, and there is clear communication with WRISE staff when necessary. If you’re interested in being a group leader, please indicate this on the sign up form.
